以下、John Mack と Ralph Blumenthal が「abduction はリアルなことを示す証拠事例」として説得力があると評価した下の事例を検討する。

その夜、女の子の母親が様子を見に行くと、女の子がいなくなっていた。母親はパニックになり、警察を呼んで、あちこち探したが、女の子は見つからなかった。数時間後、彼女たちはベッドに戻ってきた。その後、女の子たちは二人とも、窓の外でUFOを見た、宇宙人と遭遇した、と言った。そして、彼女たちは宇宙人との交流について語った。だから、あの事件の窓は (00:09:59)

And not in all cases, this was not true that people have been abducted, or had abduction type experiences when they were not missing. Another case that that John Mack learned of that really was fascinating was of a woman who fainted in her husband's arms. And while he was holding her, she had the sensation of flying up into the sky her husband's arms. (00:10:36)

And while he was holding her, she had the sensation of flying up into the sky being carried, levitated, having these, you know, otherworldly encounters, and then coming back to her body. And he was holding her the whole time. So here you have the two polar opposites. One case, you know, the body missing. Another case, the body being physically there. So I don't know what you make of that. But the phenomenon is very strange. (00:11:02)

Yeah, well, this is where this is that nexus between physics and consciousness between, you know, the material and the immaterial that the UFO issue seems to occupy, which I find fascinating, because I like to engage on both sides of that discussion. So I find it interesting that this exquisite technological marvel, which it seems to be, also seems to represent some strange transcendental consciousness related realm. And that really challenges the way that we are right transcendental consciousness related realm. (00:11:33)
